Brutal, barbaric, yet versatile,
it is the miracle of humanity that it creates
A Renaissance muse known as an "uomo universale" who is active in a variety of fields. She has a stubborn temperament and will not agree to anything even if it's the Pope's request if she doesn't agree with it. She hates bathing so much that she always smells bad...

The Pietà of Saint Peter's
This masterpiece was created by Michelangelo when he was 23 years old. Pieta is an Italian word meaning "pity," and refers to a work of art depicting the Virgin Mary mourning the death of Christ. The carefully rendered facial expressions and textures of the bodies and clothing of the figures make you forget that they are made of marble. Incidentally, it is the only work to bear Michelangelo's signature.

Who is Michelangelo?
Michelangelo Buonarroti
A versatile genius who represented Renaissance Italy. He displayed talent in a wide range of genres, including sculpture, painting, and architecture, and his ceiling frescoes in the Sistine Chapel are sometimes even called a miracle of humankind. He served the Pope and the Medici family throughout his life, and despite occasional conflicts, he was a professional who left behind magnificent works. On the other hand, there are records that he had a very difficult personality, and it is said that his nose, which was crooked after being punched in a fight, remained a lifelong complex for him.
